Legendary Porto defender Jorge Costa has died at the age of 54

Recently, Jorge Costa was working as the football director of Porto. He died of sudden cardiac arrest at the Porto training ground. Jorge Costa was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Doctors were unable to save the football legend. At the time of his death, he was 54 years old.

It has been reported that Jorge Costa suffered a heart attack in 2022, after which he underwent surgery.

Jorge Costa played for Porto from 1988 to 2005. During this time, he became a winner of the 2004 Champions League, the 2003 UEFA Cup, the 2004 Intercontinental Cup, an 8-time champion of Portugal, and a five-time holder of the Portuguese Cup.
