The Kyiv team started the match actively and created the first dangerous moment already in the second minute when Kyrylo Osipenko took a powerful shot that missed the target. Later, Lyusin headed the ball after a sharp cross from Dekhtiar. In the 10th minute, Rukh’s goalkeeper Klymenko had to intervene actively when Osipenko made the first shot on target from the edge of the penalty area. A minute later, the goalkeeper saved Rukh again, intercepting the ball after a sharp cross from Zadorozhnyi from the side.
Despite the advantage of the “white and blues” in the first minutes, the hosts unexpectedly opened the scoring. In the 15th minute, Dzhurabaiev broke down the left flank into the Kyiv penalty area and crossed the ball into the center to Dmytro Sebro. Zakarchenko rushed to block his shot but was unable to stop Sebro, who sent the ball into the net with his second attempt.
After conceding a goal, the Dynamo players began to attack even more actively, putting pressure on their opponents and creating chances one after another. The less time remained until the end of the half, the more the hosts were pushed back to their own goal, effectively parking the “bus,” while Dynamo put the Lviv team under pressure in their own penalty area. However, once again, the goalkeeper of the “yellow-blacks,” Klymenko, saved his team.
The pattern of play did not change after the break. Osipenko and Ishchenko took dangerous shots at the beginning of the half. Lyusin moved from the flank into the center, dribbling past several players, and elegantly curled the ball into the far corner, but missed the target. The Lviv team had a half-chance from a set piece in the 73rd minute, but Vyalcheslav Surkiis came out of his goal in time and collected the ball.
The Lviv defense finally cracked under the pressure from Dynamo in the 77th minute when a foul was committed against Ozimai in the penalty area. The referee did not hesitate to award a penalty kick, which Osipenko confidently converted — 1:1.
The “white and blues” surged forward with renewed energy to seize the victory. Denys Dykий had a dangerous chance as he broke through on the left flank and shot on goal from close range, but hit the goalkeeper.
In the 86th minute, Dynamo scored the winning goal. After a corner kick, the ball was cleared, but an attack began with a second wave. Ohorodnik passed the ball to the center, where Lyusin outpaced his opponent and laid it off for Ozimai to shoot. Volodymyr struck from about 18 meters with one touch right into the corner, becoming the real joker of the match — 1:2!
In the remaining time, the hosts tried to rescue themselves from defeat, taking several corners. The best chance in the fifth minute of stoppage time fell to Muzhilovskyi, who missed the target from a few meters. The Kyiv team ultimately held onto the winning score, thus achieving a willful victory over a tough opponent.
