Paksi FC head coach György Bognár commented on his team’s loss to Zhytomyr’s Polesie (0:3) in the first match of the 3rd qualifying round of the Conference League.
György Bognár“I see the reason for the defeat as the fact that the opponent just played better than us. I think, judging by the flow of the match, even the difference in goals scored and conceded is not exaggerated.
“Polesie” played faster and fresher, creating more threats to our goal, so they deserved the victory. We were too calm today, slower than we needed to be, and we combined play. As a result, by the end of the first half, the score was not in our favor.
