Kyiv Dynamo defender Kostyantyn Vivcharenko shared his impressions of the away match against Lviv’s Rukh (5:1) in the second round of the Ukrainian championship, where he recorded two assists.
Kostyantyn Vivcharenko— It’s always pleasant to win, especially by such a score. This will give us confidence before the important game with Paphos. It may have seemed easy from the outside, but it’s always hard on the field. Rukh is a tough team, so it’s never simple with them. It’s good that we managed to win.
— How difficult was it to mentally prepare for the game with Rukh after the unexpected defeat to Paphos in the Champions League qualifiers?
— You always need to switch to the next game, because it’s the most important one. That’s how we approach it — game by game.
— Tell us about your two assists; did you expect to play so productively?
— I always try to play effectively and do what the coaching staff asks. Of course, I want such results to happen all the time.
— Today, all the goals were scored by defenders and midfielders; does that mean all players in our team are versatile?
— Of course, why not? Both wing and central defenders can score. The main thing is that the team wins.
— You have already played three matches in European competitions and two in the championship. Can you say if the logistics have become easier compared to last season?
— No, it’s always difficult, but we have to deal with it. Under any circumstances, we will try to be productive. Are we managing to stay strong? So far, yes, and I hope it continues.
