As previously reported, Ukrainian defender of English club Everton, Vitaliy Mykolenko, sustained an injury in yesterday’s friendly match against the Italian team Roma (0:1).
Vitaliy Mykolenko (in the center) leaves the field after the injuryThe 26-year-old footballer was in the starting lineup for the “Toffees” in this friendly but fell to the ground in the 9th minute of the match. Despite medical efforts, the Ukrainian was unable to continue playing.
There is currently no information on the nature and extent of Mykolenko’s injury, but as he left the field, he was periodically touching the part of his right leg where the adductor muscle is located. Recovery from its injury may take anywhere from two weeks to several months.
Additionally, the season for Everton will start on August 18: on this day, Mykolenko’s team will play their first match of the English Championship against Leeds.
