English club “Liverpool” is set to sign 18-year-old defender Giovanni Leoni from “Parma,” reports football insider Fabrizio Romano.

According to the source, the Merseysiders are determined to fully sign Giovanni Leoni and immediately involve him in training with the main team. Leoni is considered a project player by “Liverpool.” It is also worth noting that the transfer of Leoni is not dependent on “Liverpool’s” negotiations regarding the transfer of Marc Guéhi from “Crystal Palace.”

“Parma” demands over 30 million euros for the transfer of their player. Negotiations between the clubs are ongoing. Leoni has given preliminary consent to move to “Liverpool.”

Additionally, Giovanni Leoni’s current contract with “Parma” is valid until the summer of 2029.
