The president of Metalist 1925, Bohdan Boyko, talks about the team’s objectives for the season in the Ukrainian championship.
Bohdan Boyko— This season we haven’t set any specific tournament goals. The main objective is to implement our philosophy of play within the team. We strive to play open, attacking, and beautiful football. To be honest, before acquiring Metalist 1925, I was watching Serie A and not following the UPL.
And when the issue of buying the Kharkiv club arose, the picture of the Ukrainian championship, frankly speaking, looked significantly different and did not particularly interest me as a viewer.
That’s why it’s so important for me that the team demonstrates an open, attacking, and spectacular style of play, which ultimately should bring results and secure us in the upper part of the league table, and later among the prize-winning positions, — said Boyko.
