The former midfielder of Dynamo, Benito, who yesterday became a player of Cypriot Akritas Chlorakas, said goodbye to the Kyiv club.
“I don’t even know where to start. First, I want to say thank you and ‘thank you’ in Ukrainian to all of Ukraine, all Ukrainians, the fans of Dynamo, the club staff, and all my teammates for all these years — for the warm welcome, love and support that I felt from day one. It has been an honor for me to wear the jersey and play for this wonderful and legendary club Dynamo Kyiv.
I spent five years at this great club, and we have been through a long journey — there have been victories and defeats. From pre-COVID times to post-COVID times, to the war… we have all become stronger together and endured. Eternal memory to all the warriors who gave their lives defending Ukraine — you are true heroes.
If I start writing or telling everything, it would be a whole book. All I can say now is a huge thank you. And I won’t say: farewell, but I will say: see you. I wish all the best to the team, the fans of Dynamo, and Ukraine as a state — we will overcome everything. It has been not just about football, but also about life here. Ukraine is my second home, as I am now also Ukrainian, Benitenko.
Thank you and glory to Ukraine,” wrote Benito on his Instagram page.
