Former French midfielder Lassana Diarra has resumed legal proceedings against FIFA and the Belgian Football Association, demanding compensation of 65 million euros.
Lassana DiarraThe reason is the regulations that, according to the EU Court’s decision, violated European legislation. Back in 2014, the organization fined Diarra 10 million dollars for prematurely terminating his contract with Moscow "Lokomotiv".
The footballer emphasized that his struggle has been going on for more than 11 years and is aimed not only at protecting his own interests but also at helping other players. Meanwhile, FIFA has changed the transfer regulations, and a group of Dutch footballers is preparing a collective lawsuit for an amount that could reach one billion dollars.
