This season will see the novelty that the draws for the Europa League and Conference League stages will for the first time be combined into a special show — live from Monaco.
Photo: uefa.comThe ceremony will take place on August 29 and will start at 13:00 Central European Time. Clubs and fans will eagerly watch to see which opponents will face their teams in the new format of the second edition of these competitions.
Both draws will be held in a fully digital format. As last year, an automated system will be used, which instantly determines the pairs of opponents and allocates who will play at home and who will play away.
What does the new show entail?
One show — two draws: first the Europa League, then the Conference League.
Digital system: there will be no physical balls, pressing a button will initiate the random selection process.
Results: after a few seconds of processing, the system will gradually display all pairs of teams on the screen, maintaining the intrigue for viewers.
The match calendar with exact dates and times will be published no later than August 31.
