The Supreme Court dismissed Dnipro-1’s appeal, which sought to contest Shakhtar’s winning appeal in the case concerning the non-payment of percentage from the transfer of midfielder Oleksandr Pikhalyonok from Dnipro-1 to Kyiv’s Dynamo. This was reported by the website of the unified state register of judicial decisions.

Photo: fcdynamo.comEarlier this June, Dnipro-1 filed a cassation appeal against the decision of the Central Appellate Economic Court to satisfy Shakhtar’s appeal in the bankruptcy case of Dnipro-1. One of the grounds for Dnipro-1’s appeal was that disputes among members of sports federations are subject to relevant arbitration proceedings and cannot be considered in court by an administrative court.
As a result, the Supreme Court ruled to leave the Dnipro-1 appeal unsatisfied. This means that Dnipro-1 will have to pay Shakhtar $480,000 as a percentage of the transfer amount for Pikhalyonok.
This decision is final and cannot be appealed and comes into effect from the moment of its adoption.
