Inter’s head coach Cristian Kivu shared his expectations from the start of the Italian championship.
Cristian Kivu, Getty Images“We have been working hard for three weeks and had the opportunity to play four friendly matches. I saw some good things, and some not so successful, but that’s understandable at this stage of the summer. I liked that we did not have serious injuries, as, apart from the result, it was important to monitor the minutes each player spent on the field.
The goal of Inter is to be competitive on all fronts, be it the championship, the Champions League, or the Coppa Italia, because I often see that this tournament goes unnoticed. We need to be competitive and give our all, aiming for 38 wins out of 38, even if that is generally impossible, but that should be the mentality.
This is a great responsibility for me, and at the same time a wonderful opportunity. I have already worked in the structure of this club in other positions for some time, and we have spent amazing years together that allowed me to grow as a person, personality, and coach. Now is the time for me to give back to this club,” Kivu said to DAZN Italia.
