Polesie Zhytomyr defender Sergey Chobotenko commented on his team’s defeat to Italian Fiorentina (0:3) in the first match of the playoff round of the Conference League qualification.
Sergey Chobotenko— “Fiorentina started aggressively; they were very focused on our goal. The team showed class and demonstrated that at this level, it’s the details that matter, and from half-chances, you can extract the maximum. Therefore, we have room for improvement.
But we also had our moments. If we had converted all of them, we would probably have won. I repeat, Fiorentina showed us that we need to make the most out of the little things, even from half-chances. We will strive for that in the return match,” said Chobotenko on the Polesie club’s YouTube channel.
