Shakhtar Footballer Receives First Call-Up to the Ukraine National Team

Shakhtar midfielder Oleg Ocheretko will receive his first call-up to the Ukraine national team for the World Cup 2026 qualifying matches.

As reported by former journalist Ihor Burbas, Ocheretko is on the list of the head coach of the team, Serhiy Rebrov. This will be the midfielder's first appearance in the senior national team's camp.

It is also known that Ocheretko will not be the only newcomer to the team.

Recall that the qualifying match between the Ukraine national team and the France national team will take place on September 5 in Wroclaw. The match will start at 21:45 Kyiv time.
