Famous Ukrainian journalist Roberto Morales has prepared a forecast for the second leg of the Europa League qualification match between “Dynamo” (Kyiv) and “Maccabi” (Tel Aviv).
Roberto Morales“Recently, ‘Dynamo’ envisioned itself in the final qualification for the main stage of the Champions League with good prospects to take a decisive step. Now the Kyiv team is one step away from the Conference League due to allowing ‘Maccabi’ to have a numerical advantage in the first game. It ended badly (1:3), and it could have been significantly worse—while the ‘White-Blues’ could have scored one (maximum two) goals, the Israelis could have added more to their tally and decisively defeated the nominal hosts.
Despite the game problems, the Kyiv team continues to dominate at the local level. The main competitor, ‘Shakhtar,’ has already dropped points in the UPL, while the ‘White-Blues’ have secured three victories with a total score of 10:2.
In European competitions, the team has only succeeded so far against the modest Maltese ‘Hamrun’ (3:0, 3:0). They were defeated without a chance by the Cypriot ‘Paphos’ (0:1, 0:2), demonstrating extremely dull football.
‘The Yellow’ could not confirm their status as the strongest team in the country, losing in the Super Cup to ‘Hapoel’ from Beer Sheva (1:2). ‘Maccabi’ had the same opponents in the European cups as they did, but in reverse order. They lost to ‘Paphos’ in the Champions League (1:1, 0:1) but defeated ‘Hamrun’ in the Europa League (2:1, 3:1).
The bet is on—a penalty or a red card in the match,” Morales said.
