Officially. Niko Kovač has extended his contract with Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund announced on its official website the extension of the contract with head coach Niko Kovač.

The new agreement with the Croatian specialist is valid until summer 2027. Kovač and his coaching staff took over the "bees" last winter when they were in eleventh place in the league table, and managed to lead the team to the Champions League at the end of the season.

“In the last six months, we achieved a lot together and put Borussia back on the right track. As a coaching team, we felt great trust and a sense that together with the club and fans we can make a difference.

Discussions in recent weeks have further strengthened my conviction: we can continue on the path we have chosen with lasting success. Thanks to honest work, clear decisions, and great enthusiasm, we want to help Borussia regain its former strength. We still have a lot to do together,” Kovač said.
