Attempts by English club Newcastle to loan Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbik from Italian club Roma have not led to anything: the “Magpies,” who saw this forward as a replacement for Alexander Isak (who refuses to play for his club and wants to move to Liverpool), received a rejection, reports Corriere dello Sport.

The transfer of Dovbik to Spanish club Villarreal, which was of interest to the player himself, also fell through. This was reported by journalist Matteo Moretto.

As a reminder, according to media reports, the new head coach of Roma, Gian Piero Gasperini, does not see Dovbik as the main striker of his team, and in this regard, the Italian club is actively considering all transfer options for the Ukrainian.
