As a result of another European cup week, Ukraine has worsened its position in the UEFA coefficient table.

Recall that last Thursday in the playoff round of the Europa League qualification, Kyiv’s Dynamo defeated the Israeli Maccabi Tel Aviv (1:0) in the return match but failed to advance to the main stage of the tournament based on the aggregate score (1:3, 1:0) and consequently did not earn additional bonus points.
In the playoff round of the Conference League qualification, Donetsk’s Shakhtar defeated Swiss Servette (2:1) and advanced to the main stage of the tournament, while Zhytomyr’s Polesie lost to Italy’s Fiorentina (2:3) and was eliminated from the competition.
As a result, Ukraine has dropped from 27th to 28th place in the UEFA coefficient table, allowing Azerbaijan to move ahead. However, the situation favors Ukraine because Azerbaijan has only one team left in European competitions.
Recall that the final UEFA coefficient table this season will determine the representation of countries in the European cups for the 2027/28 season.
