One of the representatives of the Ukrainian coaching staff, Stepan Matviyiv, shared his impressions of the match of the 4th round of the Ukrainian championship between Kyiv’s “Dynamo” and Zhytomyr’s “Polesie” (4:1).
Stepan Matviyiv“I will say this. The Zhytomyr team started the match very well in the opening minutes: they scored a goal and had several more opportunities to score.
I think that the mistake of the “Polesie” goalkeeper and the penalty awarded to the guests influenced the final events of the game. It was evident that “Dynamo” gained momentum, while the guests couldn’t adapt. Although a team like “Polesie” should not have made such gross defensive errors to lose 1:4,” Matviyiv said.
