On September 4, the Ukraine U-18 youth national team (players no older than 2008) played their first match at the international tournament in Sweden.

The "blue-yellow" team faced Norway. The Scandinavians started the match better, and already in the 5th minute, David de Ornelas opened the scoring with a shot from the edge of the penalty area. However, eight minutes later, the Ukrainians equalized. Oleksandr Sereda burst into the Norwegian penalty area from the right flank and accurately shot into the far corner — 1:1. Then, in the 29th minute, our team took the lead. Illya Kutya made a wonderful long pass, setting Dmitry Zudin one-on-one with the goalkeeper, and he did not miss — 2:1.
Immediately after the break, the "blue-yellow" team scored again. After a pass from Oleksandr Sereda, Artem Zubriy headed the ball into the far post. In the 89th minute, Zudin scored the fourth goal for Ukraine, completing a double. Just two minutes later, Zubriy followed his example, also working hard for a double. Finally, in the fourth added minute, Zakhar Zakhariv put an end to the match.
So, 6:1 — a crushing victory for the Ukraine national team. Our team will play their next match in the tournament on September 6 against Sweden (kick-off at 17:00).
