UEFA’s press service has announced the composition of the officiating team that will work on the match of the 2nd round of the World Cup 2026 qualifying cycle between the Azerbaijan national team and the Ukraine national team.
Vassilis FotiasIt is reported that Greek referee Vassilis Fotias will lead the officiating crew. He will be assisted on the lines by Andreas Meintanas and Michail Papadakis. The fourth official will be Anastasiou Papapetrou.
The match will also feature the VAR system. The main VAR referee is Angelos Evangelou, with the VAR assistant referee being Ioannis Papadopoulos. Both referees are also from Greece.
Let us remind you that the Azerbaijan — Ukraine match will take place on Tuesday, September 9, in Baku. The meeting is set to start at 19:00 Kyiv time.
