The former head coach of Kyiv’s Dynamo, Oleksandr Khatskevych, commented on his appointment as vice president of Zhytomyr’s Polissya.

“Yes, of course, working as a football executive is a different kind of activity than coaching. Accordingly, this is a new challenge for me. But on the other hand, I still remained within football. I didn’t go to work in the construction business, nor at the ATB store. (Smiles).
Negotiations with the leadership of Polissya have been ongoing since last October. Why did it take so long? The decision was made by the president — he needed to think everything over and weigh it all. I am very interested in working here — the project is very ambitious. So far, everything I see, from the infrastructure to everything else, is top-level. Now the most important thing is for the team’s results to become top as well. Yes, the team is currently going through a tough time, but that’s okay — it happens. You have to go through this to become stronger,” Khatskevych said.
