At the end of January 2025, goalkeeper of Kyiv’s "Dynamo" Georgiy Bushchan signed a contract until June 30, 2027, with the Saudi FC "Al-Shabab". However, on September 5, he moved to Zhytomyr’s "Polissya" on a one-year loan.
Georgiy BushchanAs reported by Sport.ua, the positions of the Ukrainian in the foreign club weakened after Turkish head coach Fatih Terim left "Al-Shabab" in June. When the preparatory period ended, the new coach, Spaniard Imanol Alguacil, informed the goalkeeper that he did not count on him, hinting that he could continue his career in another team.
According to available information, "Polissya" acted ahead of time and literally before the transfer window closed managed to sign Georgiy on a one-year loan.
It is possible that next summer the Zhytomyr club will try to make Bushchan, who has been called up again to the national team of Ukraine, their full-fledged player, since the terms of the loan allow "Polissya" to negotiate the full purchase of the contract. However, this will involve a sum of no less than three million euros, which "Al-Shabab" paid when Bushchan transferred from Kyiv’s "Dynamo".
