The head coach of the Spanish national team, Luis de la Fuente, admitted that he never thought about a possible resignation.

— I never thought about resignation. I am grateful to the Royal Spanish Football Federation for choosing me as the head coach. There is no greater pride than representing my country and being the coach of the Spanish national team, — said Luis de la Fuente.

Additionally, in the qualifying stage for the 2026 World Cup, the Spanish national team secured two victories — against Bulgaria (3:0) and Turkey (6:0).
