A penalty against your goal? In my opinion, our player just flew past it. And as the player himself says, he put his hand down and fell. To give a penalty for that... Then the referee gave us two yellow cards. When we were no longer talking to him — we were talking among ourselves. This created a bit of tension, but we talked to the referee during the break. In the second half, I didn’t communicate with him at all.
As for our goal, the Shakhtar players thought there was an offside. But the episode was reviewed by VAR. As we saw from the side, he was moving away from the goal so that the goalkeeper could see the ball. That was the decision made. Good. If the referee hadn’t counted it, we would have been even more devastated,” Kalyuzhny is quoted by the official site of “Metalist 1925”.
