Ukrainian forward of "Roma" Artem Dovbik was on the bench during yesterday’s match of his team against "Torino" (0:1) in the 3rd round of the Italian championship. After the game, Roma’s head coach Gian Piero Gasperini was asked about this and here’s what he replied.
Gian Piero Gasperini"I wasn’t planning to put Dovbik on the field today. I want to see him active in training, dynamic, and confident. When that happens, we will play with him in the lineup again," Gasperini said at the post-match press conference.
It’s worth noting that in the two previous matches this season, Dovbik also did not make it to the starting lineup of "Roma", but at least he came on as a substitute (in the 74th and 73rd minutes).
