The goalkeeper of Obolon, Nazarii Fedorivskyi, commented on the draw in the 5th round of the Ukrainian championship against Dynamo — 2:2.
Nazarii Fedorivskyi. Photo: fc.obolon.ua- Share your impressions of the game with Dynamo. What helped Obolon achieve this unexpected result?
- The impressions were very wonderful because we came out very charged, the team was 100% ready for this match. I believe that we created many good moments, managed to shut down the strongest sides of Dynamo. After the first conceded goal, there may have been an individual mistake, but that’s Dynamo — they efficiently convert their chances. We had to come back, and I am very glad that we managed to do it because we fought until the last minute. I think that is what helped us.
- The club president congratulated the team on the victory after the game. How do you evaluate the referee’s decision to stop the game at the moment when Obolon had a promising attack?
- I immediately ran up to the referee — I wanted to learn his decision, why it was so, on behalf of the captain. He told me that two players were lying on the field. And he, considering this, that it was very dangerous — someone might have a head injury, perhaps something else, or some muscle strain — decided to stop the game. This is already up to the refereeing committee. If I were in his place, I would have allowed the attack to continue.
- Before that, you had a brilliant assist from a free-kick. Was it a planned play or a spontaneous decision? Have you had assists earlier in your career?
- There were no assists, but in the First League, we earned two or three penalties in a similar way — I made a pass from a free-kick. The most memorable was in the game against Dnipro-1, where we won 3:1. There was a similar assist: we earned a penalty and scored a goal, and overall, it was probably the first one.
In the last match against Kryvbas, there was also a great moment: I could have assisted on my pass. Ivan Nesterенко went one-on-one, but he slightly misjudged and lifted the ball over the goalkeeper. And no, of course, we don’t practice such things. It would be strange, probably, if I approached to serve a free-kick from 35 meters away from the goal. But, you know, just before that, I had the thought that finally there is a great chance to make an assist. In the last match against Kryvbas, I got a little unlucky, but this time it worked out. And somehow that’s how it became.
