Famous Portuguese coach José Mourinho will become the new coach of Benfica. This is reported by CNN Portugal.

It is reported that the Benfica management has reached a preliminary agreement with Mourinho regarding future cooperation. The parties are currently discussing the final details of the contract, after which the appointment of the specialist will be announced officially.

Interestingly, Benfica was the first club Mourinho managed at the beginning of his coaching career, where he served as head coach.

Recall that it was previously reported that the Lisbon club dismissed Bruno Lage from the position of team coach after the loss to Qarabağ in the 1st round of the Champions League group stage.
