Kryvbas, having defeated Chernihiv in the Round of 16 of the Ukrainian Cup, may ultimately face a technical defeat

The Round of 16 of the Ukrainian Cup began today with a scandal.

In one of the matches taking place this Wednesday, Kryvbas defeated Chernihiv. The regular time of the match ended 1:1, and in the penalty shootout, the players under Van Leeuwen secured victory.

However, it turned out that the Kryvyi Rih club may ultimately face a technical defeat, as during the 70th minute of the match, 8 foreign players were on the field simultaneously. According to the competition regulations, no more than 7 foreign footballers are allowed on the field at the same time.

Therefore, the final decision now lies with the UAF Disciplinary Committee.
