The Italian Football Federation responded to a request from Tribuna.com regarding information from Russian media about the supposed "readiness to discuss options" for the full return of Russian clubs and national teams to international competitions "with the consent of UEFA."

"The assertion that FIGC is ready to discuss any restoration of Russian national teams and clubs’ participation in competitions is absolutely unfounded.
As a national member association, FIGC fully adheres to the decision made by the international competent bodies of FIFA and UEFA, which since 2022 have ruled to exclude the aforementioned Russian teams from all competitions.
FIGC continues to support the Ukrainian Football Association since the beginning of the war through aid projects," said the Italian Football Federation.
Russian media reported that this topic was discussed at the UEFA committee meeting that took place on September 11 in Tirana, Albania.
