The General Director of Shakhtar, Serhiy Palkin, dismissed rumors that the Donetsk club is allegedly preparing a lawsuit against UAF due to the doping scandal involving Chelsea midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk.
Serhiy Palkin“From time to time, I talk to Mudryk on the phone, and we have even met several times in London. We keep in touch because he is a graduate of our academy and a high-level player. Our relationship has always been good, and I believe it’s important to support him morally during this time.
Based on the information I have, I simply cannot understand the circumstances that led to this. I contacted UAF, asked them to support Mudryk, and urged the lawyers handling this case to respond responsibly and without delay. This situation affects the image of Ukraine and Ukrainian football in general. Therefore, if there is any way to help him, we should do it.
I do not know where this information about a possible lawsuit against UAF came from. It’s nonsense. This idea has no grounds. I still hope that this process with Mudryk will be resolved as quickly as possible, and that he will return to the field to continue his career,” Palkin was quoted by the BBC.
