The press service of the “city” team has published its perspective on the scandalous situation:

“The lack of respect towards Chernihiv and its citizens on the city’s day. Today’s match did not take place as the Kharkiv “Metalist” refused to take the field. The air raid alert ended 1 hour and 11 minutes after the scheduled start of the game, however, the guests still decided not to play. Fans, who live under shelling every day and were waiting for a celebration of football, instead received disappointment on the most important day for the city.”
