The head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Serhiy Rebrov, is expected to arrive in Kyiv soon to conduct negotiations with the UAF leadership regarding his work at Panathinaikos. This was reported by the Greek publication Gazzetta.
Serhiy RebrovAccording to the source, Rebrov is completely satisfied with Panathinaikos' offer: the club’s approach and how the Greek giant has shown that they consider the Ukrainian specialist to be the most suitable candidate for the position of the new head coach.
It is also noted that Rebrov is heading to Kyiv immediately to be able to conduct direct negotiations at a very high level to find a solution on how he can lead Panathinaikos.
It is possible that it will ultimately be decided that the coach will still work with the national team in the October matches of the World Cup 2026 qualifying cycle, and then leave the Ukrainian national team. The situation is expected to be clarified by the end of this week.
