Both teams demonstrated from the first minutes that fans were in for an exciting game: the first dangerous moment at Karpaty’s goal occurred just in the 5th minute when Karavaev took a shot from a sharp angle, but Domchak saved the “Lviv” goalkeeper. Immediately the hosts responded with their chance, but Morgun confidently reacted to Bruninho’s long-range shot.
As the middle of the half approached, it seemed like both teams decided to slow the pace a bit and conserve energy, but then the most interesting part began! Lupashko’s charges shocked the Dynamo players in just three minutes: in the 24th minute, Alvarez took advantage of a confusion in the visitors' penalty area and scored a precise low shot from about fifteen meters — right into the corner of the goal — 1:0, and literally in their next attack, they doubled their advantage! After a cross from the left flank into the penalty area, Bruninho anticipated and connected with his teammate’s pass — 2:0!
Of course, this turn of events was absolutely unacceptable for Dynamo — the “white and blue” launched an assault on Karpaty’s goal with renewed vigor in the first half — and it paid off. In the 43rd minute, experienced Karavaev helped his team by scoring one goal: responding to a corner kick, the midfielder won the aerial duel at the near post and headed the ball precisely past the opponents — 2:1! This was a strategically important goal for the Dynamo team.
As expected, immediately after the break, Shovkovskiy’s charges increased their pace even more, forcing their opponents to huddle around their goal. And in the 50th minute, our team’s amazing comeback continued. Shaparenko skillfully combined with Voloshin near Karpaty’s penalty area and made a strong low shot into the near corner of the goal from Domchak — 2:2! And just three minutes later, the same Karavaev put “Dynamo” ahead: after a cross from the left flank into the center of the penalty area, the midfielder managed to connect with this pass with a precise shot past the “Lviv” goalkeeper — 2:3!
In the remaining time, it seemed like the “white and blue” would calmly see the match through to a victorious finish. Moreover, they could have scored at least two more goals. In the 84th minute, Shaparenko failed to convert a one-on-one chance with Domchak, and in the 88th minute, the goalkeeper made an incredible save after Ogundana’s shot!
However, something incredible happened in stoppage time! In the 93rd minute, after a siege on the Kyiv goal, Miroshnichenko decided to shoot from a long distance — right into the corner of the goal! 3:3! A crazy match!
Let us remind you that Dynamo’s next match will be within the main round of the Conference League. On Thursday, October 2, Shovkovskiy’s team will face the English “Crystal Palace.” The match begins at 19:45 Kyiv time.
