Midfielder of the Ukraine U-20 national team Hennadiy Synchuk evaluated the victorious start of the team at the Youth World Cup in soccer.
Hennadiy Synchuk (photo: uaf.ua)— It was really a tough game. We started the first half well, dominated the game, but then we fell back a bit and the second half was hard because we were without the ball. It was tough, but we won, and that’s the most important thing. In this tournament, the main thing is to earn points, and we did. Why did the Republic of Korea pressure us? Because we fell back. We scored two goals, and there was a moment in the first half when we fell back. That’s how it went.
The connection with Pyshchur? We practiced it before the game, knowing that he is tall and can engage in battles — and that’s how it turned out. We worked on crosses, launching «lobs» to him — that’s how we scored the second goal, — said Synchuk.
