Ukrainian midfielder of the Italian «Genoa» Ruslan Malinovsky is returning to the Ukrainian national team after a long hiatus, former journalist Igor Burbas reported on his Telegram channel.
Ruslan MalinovskyAccording to the source, the 32-year-old footballer will be called up for the October matches of the Ukrainian national team in the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament — against Iceland (October 10) and Azerbaijan (October 13).
It’s worth noting that the last time Malinovsky was called up to the Ukrainian national team was over a year ago — for the September matches of 2024 in the Nations League.
