As reported by Sport.ua, there will be no changes at the helm of the national football team of Ukraine in the near future.
According to available information, head coach Serhiy Rebrov will manage his players in the upcoming qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup against Iceland and Azerbaijan on October 10 and 13.
UAF President Andriy Shevchenko was categorically opposed to the early termination of Rebrov’s contract, who was invited by the Greek club “Panathinaikos,” and insisted on his position.
It is currently unclear whether “Panathinaikos” will be interested in Rebrov after the qualifying cycle, as they wanted to officially finalize cooperation with the Ukrainian specialist this week.
The Ukrainian players will begin preparations for the match against the Icelanders on October 6. So far, the Ukrainian national team is in third place in its group, having earned one point.
