As already reported, the main referee for tomorrow’s match of the 1st round of the main stage of the Conference League between Kyiv «Dynamo» and English «Crystal Palace» will be the Belgian Lothar Dhoondt.
Lothar DhoondtThis 31-year-old referee has been officiating international matches only since 2023, with 28 international games so far in his career.
Moreover, Dhoondt has never officiated in matches involving Ukrainian clubs and national teams.
It is worth noting that Dhoondt can be considered quite a lenient referee: he shows an average of 4 yellow cards per match and resorts to direct red cards in approximately every 10th match. The Belgian awards penalties in approximately every fourth match.
