The Ukrainian Premier League summed up the results of the 7th round of the Ukrainian championship for the 2025/2026 season, the matches of which took place last weekend.
Team of the 7th round of the UPLThe selection of the best players traditionally took place through a survey of representatives of Ukrainian sports publications. Each respondent named three candidates for the title of coach of the round, five candidates for the title of player of the round, and also formed their own version of the symbolic team of the round.
The best coach of the 7th round was recognized by a collective decision of a group of 40 experts as Ruslan Rotan, who with «Polissya» defeated «Veres» (4:1) in the final match of the round in Rivne. He faced serious competition from Mladen Bartulović («Metalist 1925» defeated one of the leaders of the UPL at that time — «Kolos» — and also climbed to the top 3) and Vladislav Lupashko («Karpaty» was winning against «Dynamo» with a score of 2:0, and the overall match in Lviv ended in a hard-fought draw — 3:3).
The title of the best football player of the 7th round was awarded to the center forward of «Polissya» Oleksandr Filipov — the author of two goals against «Veres». Two other goalscorers of this round — Pedrinho («Shakhtar») and Oleksandr Karavaev («Dynamo») also received a lot of points, and the top 5 also included Karpaty players Bruninho and Denys Miroshnychenko.
