Former defender of the Ukrainian national team Artem Fedetskyi shared his impressions from the first rounds of the Ukrainian Championship for the 2025/2026 season.
«A small part of the championship has been played. Some teams have slowed down a bit — I won’t say which ones. That is, they haven’t slowed down, let’s say they got stuck at the start. The championship is quite interesting. I wouldn’t say there are definite favorites or who will become the future champion or take places in the European cups. Such competition is interesting.
Yes, the championship is going through difficult times right now, but it’s interesting that in any round, places can change both at the top and at the bottom, and in the middle of the table. Therefore, the opponents are relatively equal, possibly with the exception of a few teams — I mean our giants. I also like how Ruslan Kosti Shyn is currently working at "Koloss» and the coaching staff. Quite unexpectedly, but logically, they are in the upper part of the standings.
And it seems to me that «Polissia» under Rotan will gain some momentum. The team is quite decent, but probably they need time, just like Rotan was given time at «Olexandriia», where he achieved a great result the following year — second place.
So I can’t say anything about the future champion, as the teams have played only a small number of matches. But the competition is ahead, and I think it will be interesting. It will be an interesting championship, where after the last round there may be small surprises. I mean the whole standings — from first to last place,” said Fedetskyi in a comment for «Football 24».
