Former midfielder of Ternopil’s “Niva,” “Chornomorets,” and now coach Andriy Parkhomenko shared his thoughts on the 3:3 draw in the 7th round of the Ukrainian championship match between Lviv’s “Karpaty” and Kyiv’s “Dynamo.”
Andriy Parkhomenko“Our championship has leveled out. Now all teams, even including the quite decent Premier League debutants, know how to organize their game. There is not such a big difference in skill on a global scale, particularly in teams like 'Karpaty' and 'Dynamo.'
As for the match between these rivals, the draw was not a surprise to me. Essentially, the play from both sides was organized, and details reflected that. Yes, 'Dynamo' quickly equalized after being down 0:2 and took the lead.
It seemed like everything was heading toward a victory for Kyiv, although 'Karpaty' in the closing moments tried to 'pull' off the match — and that is exactly what happened. However, it is not worth blaming Dynamo’s goalkeeper Morgun, who has only played in five matches during his years with the team. It was in conceding the third goal that he lacked experience,” said Parkhomenko.
