The head coach of «Dynamo U-19» Ihor Kostyuk was absent from the bench due to suspension—he received his fourth yellow card of the season in the last round. Nevertheless, the mentor of the «white-blue» team managed to influence his players from the stands.
The hosts started the match actively, launching attacks from the very first minutes. In the first half of the first half, the game took place mostly in Kharkiv’s half, with the «white-blues» attacking a lot and in various ways. As a result of this early activity, a goal was scored as early as the 10th minute of the game.
The final phase of the scoring combination was started by Bohdan Redushko, who delivered a «cutting» vertical pass between defenders to Pavlo Lyusin in the penalty area. He crossed from the right flank along the goal to the center of the goal area, where Maksym Grodzynskiy timely ran in and redirected the ball into the net with a one-touch shot.
Starting from the middle of the half, Kharkiv managed to push the game away from their goal, as they also began to control the ball and engage in positional attacks. However, before the break, neither team created any significant threats.
At the beginning of the second half, the guests activated again and tried to equalize the score; however, Kyiv’s defense played reliably, and Vyacheslav Surkis was reliable at the last line of defense.
In contrast, the Kyiv team capitalized on their moment. The goal was scored from a set piece. Maksym Korobov decided to take a direct shot from a free kick about 25 meters out; the guest goalkeeper Maksym Solovey deflected the ball in front of him, and Maksym Grodzynskiy volleyed the ball into the corner of the net from the 11-meter area.
After the second goal, the tension in the game slightly decreased, and in the 82nd minute, the Kyiv team extended their lead to a crushing score. The finale of the match was marked by Bohdan Redushko. Picking up the ball in the center of the field, he advanced toward the penalty area and launched a low shot — the guest goalkeeper, who lost his father in the war this week, misjudged the trajectory of the ball, which flew into the lower corner — 3:0.
