The head coach of the Ukraine U-20 national team, Dmytro Mykhailenko, commented on the match against Paraguay for qualification to the playoff of the 2025 World Cup.

I emphasized in the team that all players will get minutes, helping to achieve victory. We saw the condition; some were tired, some were in good shape. We decided to make substitutions and saw that it didn’t get worse from that.
The substitutions were effective; we are very satisfied with the guys: both Matviy Ponomarenko and Maksym Derkach came in motivated and eager. Fortune rewarded them with goals.
I haven’t counted which team we might face in the playoffs; I don’t know. I just want to congratulate the fans; this victory is for all Ukrainians, for everyone who supports us in football. We are very satisfied and happy because success is a celebration. We move forward,» said Mykhailenko.
