Last Monday, October 6, the Ukrainian national team gathered in Poland in full strength and began preparations for two matches of the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament — against Iceland (October 10, Reykjavik) and Azerbaijan (October 13, Krakow).
Ivan KaliuzhnyiPlayers from the Ukrainian championship traveled to the national team camp by train to Warsaw, and from there by bus. Legionnaires joined their teammates directly in Poland.
At this location, the «blue-and-yellow» will train until Wednesday, October 8, when the team will head to Reykjavik. The next day there will be the traditional pre-match press conference of Serhiy Rebrov and one of his players from the Ukrainian national team, followed by training at the venue for the match Iceland — Ukraine, the «Leigardalsvedlur» stadium. Return to Poland is scheduled for October 11.
