The FIFA Disciplinary Committee reviewed the case of midfielder of the Ukrainian U-20 national team, Gennadiy Synchuk, and made the following decisions:
Gennadiy Synchuk— player Gennadiy Synchuk was found guilty of violating Article 13.1 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (compliance with FIFA regulations and principles of fair play, commitment, and integrity) according to point III.2.c of Circular No. 7 regarding the 2025 World Cup (U-20) in Chile. The violation pertains to the match Ukraine — Paraguay, which took place on October 3, 2025;
— the player is suspended for one match, which will be missed during the next official game of the Ukrainian U-20 national team within the World Cup — against Spain (scheduled for October 7, 2025);
— additionally, the footballer has been fined 1,500 Swiss Francs. Synchuk has been given 30 days from the notification of the decision to pay the fine. If this obligation is not met within the stipulated timeframe, additional sanctions from the FIFA Disciplinary Committee may be applied.
The Ukrainian Football Association has opened an internal investigation into this matter, the results of which will be reported after the completion of all relevant procedures.
