Former midfielder of Kyiv’s “Dynamo” and the Ukrainian national team Oleksandr Aliyev has been found guilty of driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. According to the court’s verdict, the footballer was fined 17,000 UAH and deprived of his driver’s license for one year. This information is recorded in the judicial register.
Oleksandr AliyevRecall that on April 12 of this year, the “Mersedes-Benz G-350” car, which was driven by Aliyev, was stopped by the police in Kyiv on Chokolivskyi Boulevard. The patrol officers suspected the footballer of obvious signs of alcohol intoxication, but he refused to undergo a medical examination — both on site and at a medical facility, thereby violating the requirements of the traffic rules (in such cases, liability arises that is equivalent to driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol).
Aliyev did not acknowledge his guilt in court. He and his defender insisted that the police had no grounds for stopping his vehicle. Although the actual reason was that Aliyev’s car was moving in a lane designated for public transport, which is prohibited by the traffic rules.
Additionally, during the incident involving the stopping of Aliyev’s car, he was issued a protocol for petty hooliganism and willful disobedience to police officers, but the court had to close the case as the deadlines for imposing administrative penalties had expired.
