Journalist and commentator Victor Vatsko explained why Oleksiy Kashchuk, who plays in the Champions League for «Karabakh», is not in the Ukrainian national team.
Victor Vatsko— The decision not to call up Kashchuk can only be explained by the logic of Serhiy Rebrov, who relies on proven players — those he knows well and trusts. Although, looking at the form of the wingers that the coach has called up, it’s surprising that there was no place for Kashchuk on the list.
I know for sure that the coaching staff of the national team is monitoring him: Rebrov follows the matches of «Karabakh». Kashchuk has performed excellently in the Champions League — he scored against «Benfica» and played well against «Copenhagen». «Karabakh», by the way, has taken six points in the first two rounds, and against this backdrop, calling up Kashchuk would look quite logical.
Given the decline in competition for his position, I wouldn’t be surprised if Kashchuk receives a call-up to the national team in November already, — Vatsko said in the broadcast of his YouTube channel.
