Renowned Ukrainian coach Yuriy Vernydub commented on the Ukrainian giants dropping points in the recent rounds of the Ukrainian championship.
Yuriy Vernydub (photo: fckryvbas.com)— I wouldn’t speak about it as some kind of pattern, rather it’s a coincidence, this happens in football. There’s currently one explanation: 'Dynamo' and 'Shakhtar' are playing in European competitions and spend a lot of time on the road. Buses, borders, planes... Difficult logistics are exhausting, and the players don’t have time to recover. On the other hand, it’s wonderful that 'Shakhtar' and 'Dynamo' are losing points.
Look how interesting the championship has become. Previously, they would break away from the start and compete for the championship between the two of them. But now 'Kryvbas', 'Polissya', 'Metalist', 'LNZ', and even 'Karpaty' are providing competition and taking points away, — Vernydub believes.
