Newcastle and England defender Dan Burn has stated that a broken hand won’t stop him from playing in the upcoming national team match against Latvia in the 2026 World Cup qualification.
Dan Burn, Getty Images’I did actually break my hand, but I didn’t even realize how it happened. They told me I could play, so I’m ready — both for the game with Latvia and for Newcastle.'
’I’ve had worse injuries before. A broken hand is a minor issue. I’m ready to play and help the team,' Burn is quoted by the Daily Mail.
It should be noted that the 33-year-old footballer sustained the injury during the English championship match against Nottingham. Despite the fracture, the defender underwent a medical examination, and doctors have allowed him to continue playing.
