TBR Football reports that several English championship clubs are closely following Dynamo Kyiv defender Taras Mykhavko.
The 20-year-old footballer is a left-footed central defender who played a key role in Dynamo’s championship title win in Ukraine last season, the source writes. He was recognized as the best young player of the championship, and his current form is attracting the attention of clubs from all over Europe, particularly from England and Germany.
Successful performances of Ukrainians like Illia Zabarnyi, Yehor Yarmolyuk, and Vitalii Mykolenko in the Premier League after directly moving from Ukraine have led to increased interest from European clubs in the Ukrainian talent market.
Journalists from TBR Football have learned that Mykhavko is one of the most scouted players over the past 12 months, alongside his Dynamo teammate Nazar Voloshyn.
Among the clubs monitoring his progress, sources mention: Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Newcastle, Brentford, Brighton, as well as the German clubs RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen.
Chief correspondent Graeme Bailey exclusively reported to TBR Football that Mykhavko’s move to a Premier League club is becoming increasingly likely in the near future.
«Mykhavko is a very promising player. Several scouts have told me that he is already ready to make the transition and could very well end up in the Premier League,» noted Bailey. «English clubs are very pleased with how Ukrainian players adapt. In recent years, those who have come directly from Eastern Europe have integrated excellently into English football — and that is an important factor when it comes to new transfers.»
Although Mykhavko has yet to debut for the main national team of Ukraine, he has already been called up by Serhiy Rebrov, and his first full match for the national team is just a matter of time.
